Protected Characteristics

At Moulton Chapel Primary School we are an inclusive school and celebrate the differences of others. We are a school community that promotes tolerance and respect towards all others in all that we do.

The 2010 Equality Act makes it an offence to discriminate against a person due to their protected characteristics. At Moulton Chapel Primary School, we teach all of the children what protected characteristics are and how they affect life. In KS1, we introduce the children to all of the 9 protected characteristics and in KS2, explore them in more detail. This is usually alongside the PSHE curriculum and through whole school assemblies.
